A non-profit organization that provides free legal service for clients. Free 30 minute
appointment with a practicing lawyer. Lawyers do not appear in court but can assist
you in preparation. You qualify if you cannot get legal aid and your net family income is
below $2,500 per month (plus $100 per dependent). If you own a car or a house call to
see if you qualify.

The Legal Information and Advocacy for Seniors program, funded by the Law Foundation of BC, provides information, referrals and resources, summary advice, and advocacy. Call Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, to speak with the Legal Information Counsellor.

Visits are free of charge at the centre. Usual fees will be charged for additonal visits
away from the centre or when any legal work is done.

A non-profit organization that offers free legal advice and representation to low-income
earners throughout the Lower Mainland. Volunteer UBC law students, working under
the guidance of supervising lawyers, provide legal expertise in various areas of the law.

If you are a Surrey resident confined to your home, hospital, or care facility because of
illness, disability or age for a minimum of 3 months, you are eligible to receive Library
Home Services. Seniors living in Surrey and without transportation also qualify. You
will receive library items based on your expressed interests once every 4 weeks from a
Home Delivery Volunteer. This is a Free service. Materials available for delivery
include fiction and non-fiction books in regular or large print, audiobooks, music on
compact disc, magazines (in print or audio), paperback books descriptive videos for the
visually impaired.
