Your Privacy is important to us.
The White Rock Come Share Society respects and upholds an individual's right to privacy and to protection of his or her personal information.The White Rock Come Share Society is committed to ensure compliance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act. (P.I.P.A) and other applicable privacy legislation. P.I.P.A sets out rules for how organizations can collect, use and disclose your personal information.
Personal information is defined as information about an identifiable individual, such as someone's name, home address, SIN, LTC number, sex, income or family status. This does not include the name, title, business, address and telephone number of an employee of an organization.

The White Rock Come Share Society is accountable for the personal information under its control. The White Rock Come Share Society has appointed a Privacy Officer who is responsible for the organizationís compliance with this Policy.
Purposes for Collection, Use & DisclosureThe White Rock Come Share Society collects and uses personal information about donors/members for the following purposes:
- To send you updates regarding the White Rock Come Share Society
- To issue a tax receipt
- To notify members/donors of board meetings
The White Rock Come Share Society will only collect and use personal information that is necessary to fulfill the purposes identified in this policy.
The White Rock Come Share Society will not collect, use or disclose personal information except for the identified purposes unless we receive further consent from the individual involved.
The White Rock Come Share Society will only collect, use or disclose personal information in accordance with PIPA.
Disclosure of Information to Third PartiesThe only circumstances under which personal information may be disclosed to third parties is for the fulfillment of any purposes identified above, or as required by law. If personal information is disclosed to third parties for the fulfillment of any purposes identified above, the White Rock Come Share Society will ensure that appropriate security undertakings, such as confidentiality clauses in contractual agreements are employed to protect the transfer and use of personal information.The White Rock Come Share Society does not sell, trade or rent information to third parties.
Consent to Collection, Use, and DisclosureIn certain circumstances (listed above) we will assume you consent to our collection, use and disclosure unless you notify us otherwise.
You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to contractual or legal restrictions and reasonable notice.
Limiting CollectionWe collect donor personal information only for the purposes identified above.
Limiting Use, Disclosure, and retentionWe do not use or disclose personal information for any purpose other than those for which it was collected, except with consent or as required by law.
Personal information is retained only as long as is necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
Destruction of records is performed within the provincial standards and/or guidelines.
AccuracyThe White Rock Come Share Society will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that personal information is as accurate, complete and current as required for the purposes for which it was collected.
SafeguardsThe White Rock Come Share Society protects personal information with appropriate security safeguards. Safeguards include physical, administrative, and electronic security measures.
AccessYou have the right to access your personal information under control of the White Rock Come Share Society. The Privacy Officer will assist you with your access requests. In certain exceptional situations The White Rock Come Share Society may not be able to provide access to certain personal information that it holds about you. If access cannot be provided, the White Rock Come Share Society will notify you, in writing, of the reasons for the refusal.
