to the tune of 'Food, Glorious Food' from the musical 'Oliver' All day long I sit aloneAll day long I sit at homeAll I eat is toast & tea My daughter always calls me upDid I lunch or did I sup?I don't know - it's a mystery to me. My clothes don't fitThe fridge is bareThe stove is on, but nothing's there My son says L'Chaim's the place for meWhere I'll get a Kosher meal each dayI won't like the cooking, I'll give it a tryIt will make my kids happy when I eat- Food, glorious foodGetting a good meal4 dollars a day, wow, what a good deal! Roast chicken & vegetablesSoup & dessertSometimes a schtickle cakeIt couldn't hurt Food, glorious foodFeel stronger & happyTalking to new friends, laughing, being peppy I'm happy that I came hereFor once those kids were right!Food glorious food, nutritious food, L'Chaim food!
